Last week most of the class said they downloaded music illegally (shame!).  Many of you argued that this was fine because you didn't want to be paying the Music Biz companies and the artists could make money directly by touring.  Maybe. However, a few days ago I came across this article that I thought was very relevant. ( EndOfQuietMusic )  A former musician, Alina Simone, talks about how she didn't want to be a hustling entrepreneur, she wanted to be a musician, but without a music label behind her, she couldn't do that.  And music labels have been destroyed by illegal downloads.  Thoughts?
